TAK Normal AI's:
Some AI's may have player reviews, click here for a quick overview on submitting your own.
If you know of an AI which should be here, but isn't, then please drop me a line. There is one exception. If an AI is designed exclusively for a MOD and is included in that MOD, or on the MODs page, then I don't bother hosting it here.
IMPORTANT: To get a TA:K AI to work, you must have disabled Cavedog verification. If you haven't, or don't even know what this is, then download TAK Fix.

All races except Matthew |
The author makes no claims that this is a brilliant AI. It's not going to destroy you in seconds. However that is not the purpose of this AI. Massive race support is the name of the game here. According to the author, every race he knows of except the Matthew race, is supported by this AI. So if you have some race that no other AI supports, you finally have a way of stopping it from building useless units.

Repeating the mistakes
of Total Annihilation, this AI doesn't seem to favour
anything. It will never have enough resources, defences
or troops. It will just use all its mana and sit there
waiting to die. You can hardly be inspired by an AI with the following written at the top of its profile: // Kingdoms Default AI Profile 2-08-98 |

Lithium
TAK AI 1.63 KB |
Maelith and team Lithium |
This AI was designed to play using 3.0bb TAK, it fully supports TABDD units and the azurian race (currently needs to be re-released). This AI plays with an aggressive style and makes use of the standard units in large numbers, it prefers to use large groups of weaker units than building up its higher tier forces although it is quite capable of using these too. This AI may not work so well with the CUT modification, but it can certainly manage with it better than the default cavedog AI. All in all it's an AI that attempts to use the same kind of units a player would use. | No |

Azurian Race |
While this is not
currently the best TAK AI around, it will certinally put
up a better fight than the standard AI. Each race has a
very distinctive playing style when this AI is in use.
The AI also has some 3rd party unit support, which is a
bonus for anyone interested in that sort of thing.

Quell TAK & CUT v6 21.2 KB |
Learning from TA-Power Veteran AI, I have enhanced Quell in v6 well beyond what it could do in the previous version. It is now far more aggressive and capable of putting out much larger number of troops in a shorter period of time. | Optional |

The TAK engine has always been very limiting when it comes to AI, even more so than the TA engine. That hasn't stopped a host of AIs from cropping up however, among them is Quell. My testing suggests that this is the best non-cheating AI for TAK, though only after learning the lessons taught by the TA-Power Veteran AI which used to give v5 a good spanking. It also comes with a fix for the Mage Archer.

TA-Power
Veteran AI v5 6.87 KB |
The TA-Power Veteran ai is specifically designed for building attacking units and larger armies, The ai's armies can be very large at later stages of the game so beware, it now supports Creon and XCOMveterans Orison race for TA:K. | Optional |

Azurian Race |
|
Previously known as the
TAK Veteran AI, this is one of the best non-cheating 3rd
party AI for Kingdoms. It expands with ruthless efficiency, and
will swiftly move to get its mobile forces out and
erroding your territory. My only gripe is that its non-CUT
AI isn't selective enough when choosing troops, meaning
it has a little of everything without concentrating on
anything in particular.

Got an AI you've made? Want the TA:K world to see it? Well e-mail it to Quitch, please include a 50-100 word description and a note saying if you would like your name turned into an e-mail link along with the address that should be used. Finally add the name and URL of any MODS it may support.
