The main concept of this AI is that the targeting
priorities of the AI troops have been changed, this means
you'll see them actively going for your resources, and
targeting enemies that are important, rather than the
nearest flea. This only affects tactical, rather than strategic, decisions.

An AI that is geared around 3rd party units. It
cheats like a BAI. This is one for the experienced
players. Comes with full TAUIP support. Also on offer is the Hexagon Addon, an alternate Default profile which offers an even harder challenge than the one that ships with Alpha. Alpha plays a powerful ground game, but is a little weak in the skies, giving you valuable breathing space.

BAI was an attempt
to create an AI mod that could make up for some of the
engine's shortcomings. It gives the AI the advantages of: (1) less expensive construction units, (2) factories with multiple exits, (3) enhanced resource units, and (4) improved profiles. BAI can be *very* difficult on land maps. Try the Easy setting first, because Hard was designed to be a challenge for more than one player! |

Its full name is
Bloodthirsty AI. Made by BSR, this is possibly the most
well known AI around. It is also one of the hardest. On
hard this AI doesn't even try to be fair, it will level
you unless you use every trick you know (and then some).
It has more resources than it knows what to do with (literally),
although the latest version does make better use of them.
One thing BAI should be praised on is it's good use of
difficulty levels.

BANZAI is the most prolific AI ever made, able to produce a wider variety of units... and more of them. This AI believes in combined arms, attacking with planes and ground units simultaneously. This makes the AI very hard to beat. Just to top it off, it won't think twice about sending nuclear missiles to your base. The AI is fully compatible with almost any unit configuration excluding total conversions and UberHack. The profiles support over 600 units. BANZAI has 19 text profiles to suit almost any situation. Another AI from the
King of cheating AIs. This one has some pretty heavy 3rd
party unit support. Expect a tough challenge. Banzai actually has six levels of difficulty, so no matter what your skill level, Banzai has something to suit. Add on to this a massive number of AI profiles, and you've got yourself an incredible package.

This is the Black Storm AI for Total Annihilation 3.1, It is the ONLY ai that is truly harder than the Blood-Thirsty ai!!!!! Its record for nuking is around 15 minutes! I must give credit to the creator of the Blood Thirsty AI becuase it is actually like a BAI v4.5. This AI is designed to support almost any MOD that meets certain criteria. Using generic weights and limits, rather than unit specific ones, it can play a large number of MODs just as well as plain Total Anihilation. This does mean of course that it won't give you the most difficult game ever, but it might be what fans of MODs like XTA are looking for. Comes with four levels of difficulty.

Different from most cheating AIs, Switeck's Counterstrike uses special resource structures to generate its resources which do not need to be positioned on metal spots, leaving it free to get on with producing troops. It comes with relatively few AI units, no super speed construction units here. It's at its best on Urban type maps, where you will struggle to get metal, but it will have no problems as it doesn't need metal spots. Should you find the AI too easy to defeat, you can download its Super Resource units. If you do not have Core Contingency, then you can remove the TACC file and it will run fine. As always, Switeck's AI has incredible profile support.

This AI takes a rather interesting approach to cheating. Ths isn't an AI with the usual assortment of AI construction units and factories, but simply one with additional resources and nukes. The extra resources are seperate from the standard resource generators, and are invisible, but explode when you go near them. Thus a game against this AI can rapidly turn into a turf war. An interesting approach, with the possibility for fustration if you miss one of the generators.

Siege was my
attempt to create a "universal" AI for all
players of different skill levels. If you want a AI that
will make you respect the difficulty levels, Siege wants
you! The Siege patch gives the skirmish AI a chance to take advantage of abundant resources and special units. This gives it the ability to stand a chance against even the best on HARD difficulty, and appear not-so-unbeatable lower difficulties. Some of its advantages: 1) Siege incorporates "intelligent" jets that will not hesitate to escort bombers and gunships, 2) When in "Siege" mode the units will position themselves for optimal defense, 3) Special AI Decoy Commanders who pack an "inferior" dgun (for all of our commander killers in the audience), 4) easily support this patch in your 3rd Party AIs. (see Readme information) I give thanks to all who helped and encouraged me as this patch was constructed from the ground up! |

A cheating AI with some
really different difficulties. From Easy which will nano-stall
its way through a fairly defensive game, up to Hard which
will overwhelm you in no time. The only problems with
this AI are maps where there is no wind, and the small
number of profiles provided. The second version of this AI can be found in the AI Unit Packs download section.

This is a no-nano stall cheating AI. It doesn't produce units faster. It doesn't send out ultra fast construction units. It simply puts down special resource generators and gets on with the business of building troops. For those of you who like to tweak, this AI changes almost every TA maps AI profile selection, as well as providing a large variety of profiles. Each profile has about 4 backups. Finding the AI a bit too tough on the sea maps? Swap out its Seabattle profile for its SeaBattle Newbie profile. This is certinally competing with Banzai when it comes down to customising the challenge.
